Elegant and Timeless Curtains
With pleat hooks, you can achieve elegant and timeless curtains with even pleats on the front, creating a soft, cozy feel.
Different pleat hooks also allow you to vary the style of the pleats, creating a beautiful drape.
Choosing the Right Pleat Hooks
This hanging style is suitable for both curtain tracks with gliders and curtain rods with rings.
The style depends on the type of pleat hooks used and their spacing. More hooks with closer spacing create more pleats.
Most common hooks is 1-, 2-, or 4-finger hooks with low or high mounting.
Low Mount Pleat Hooks
If you want to hide the track or rod, choose low mount pleat hooks, which position the curtain higher.
The number of "fingers" on the hook and their spacing determine the pleats' appearance.
1-finger hook creates no pleats,
2-finger hook creates one pleat,
4-finger hook creates three pleats, suitable for classic French and pencil pleats.
High Mount Pleat Hooks
For visible tracks or rods, use high mount pleat hooks. This positions the curtain at the same height as the hook, below the track.
If you use a ceiling track and frequently draw the curtain, such as with a dimout curtain, high mount hooks are preferable to prevent the curtain from catching on the ceiling.

Determining Curtain Width
Our curtains are double-width.
The final width depends on the pleats and hook spacing. A good guideline is to insert a hook every third channel on the pleat tape. For a double-width curtain (290 cm), use about 18 hooks. The curtain will be about half its width when hanging. More hooks mean more pleats and a narrower curtain. For a wider curtain, space the hooks farther apart.
Hooks attach to rings on the rod or gliders on the track.
Interior Design Tip:
To make a room appear wider, choose a track or rod longer than the window width, allowing curtains to hang beside the window and maximize light.
Measuring Curtain Length for Low Mount Pleat Hooks
This method hides the track or rod. Measure from the top of the track or rod to the floor at two to three points and use the shortest measurement. Adjust for the desired length:
- Floating above the floor: Subtract 1-3 cm.
If there is a difference of more than 1.5 cm between your measurement points, we recommend letting the curtain rest on the floor. This will help conceal any level differences in the floor. - Lightly resting on the floor: Add 3 cm.
- Draped on the floor: Add 10-15 cm.
Measuring Curtain Length for High Mount Pleat Hooks
With this method the curtain will hang under the track or rod and making it visible. Measure from the bottom of the track or rod to the floor at two to three points and use the shortest measurement. Adjust for the desired length:
