    Flowing Wave Curtains

As the name suggests, wave curtains create beautiful flowing waves with a wave hanging, where the curtain hangs below the track.

Wave provides an elegant, modern feel and is often called lounge hanging or lounge curtains.

    Create the look

You’ll need a curtain track, gliders (or gliders on a string), and pleat hooks.

The gliders fit into the track’s grooves, allowing the curtains to be easily drawn. Choosing gliders on a string maintains the wave pattern whether the curtains are open or closed.

You can mount your curtain track on the ceiling or the wall. Ensure the track is set out from the wall to accommodate the waves on both sides. The waves and fabric hang below the curtain track.

The pleat hooks, also called "shrimp hooks," attach to the multifunctional band on the curtain and hang on the gliders on the track. Pleat hooks work with all types of tracks.

How wide will my curtain be?

Our curtains are extra wide. The final width of the curtain depends on the size of the waves you choose and how closely you place the pleat hooks.

Generally, the curtain will be about half its width when hanging.
A good guideline for the distance between pleat hooks is to insert them every third channel on the curtain’s pleat band. For a double-width curtain (290 cm), use about 18 hooks.

Choose a curtain track longer than the window width to hang the curtains beside the window, maximizing light entry. This also makes the room feel wider. If space allows, hang multiple curtain panels next to each other, using different shades and textures for a more dynamic look.

How to Measure Curtain Length for Wave Hanging

Measure the length of the curtain the same way whether your track is ceiling- or wall-mounted.

Measure from the bottom of the glider on the track to the floor at two to three different points and note the shortest measurement.

Add or subtract centimeters based on the desired curtain length:

    • Floating above the floor: Subtract 1-2 cm.
If there are significant level differences (more than 1.5 cm) at the measurement points, let the curtain rest lightly on the floor to disguise them.
    • Lightly resting on the floor: Add 3 cm
    • Draped on the floor: Add 10-15 cm
